Description: This is the online, consolidated version of Ruby’s in person Restorative Yoga with Sound Healing Workshop: Relax & Renew. This will be a lovely way to down regulate your nervous system and experience deep rest and rejuvenation without even leaving your home!

We’ll start off with some gentle yoga and guided meditation and move into a few postures in which we’ll use yoga props or household items to make it comfortable to hold the postures long enough to really let go and experience all of their yummy benefits. Elizabeth will model the postures while Ruby will either play Tibetan bowls or relaxing music to allow you to go deeper into your relaxation. 

At the height of your bliss, you will be guided through a lying down meditation called yoga nidra to help you set your intention for spring and to totally unwind.

What to gather:

Don't have many yoga props?  Either contact Ruby about borrowing some or use these substitutions below! 

 

  • eye cover (alternatives: hand towel, bandanna, scarf, etc)

  • bolster (alt: 2-3 bath towels rolled up tightly, 1-2 bed pillows, couch cushion, bed pillow wrapped with a bath towel, etc)

  • 3 or 4 blankets or bath towels, including one large enough to cover your whole body

  • yoga block (alt: stack of books, bound together if that prevents slipping, a sturdy shoe box)

  • thin pillow for your head (alt: a blanket or towel)

  • a chair (or just move to your couch or a wall during this part.)

  • optional, if such things enhance your sensory relaxation experience:

    • 1-2 sandbags (for placement, perhaps, on low belly or shoulders) – DIY: these can simply be unopened bags of sugar/rice/beans, etc

    • essential oils/diffuser

    • cozy socks!

    • various crystals to place on your body for extra healing while holding the poses.
