Join us for a cosmic celebration that will resonate with and honor the Spring Equinox energies of balance, awakening, renewal, and rebirth! We will use a combination of sound immersion, body movement, breathwork, and meditation to create a joyful  experience that your mind, body, and spirit will appreciate.

Following a gentle yoga sequence led by Ruby Koa, the Tibetan and Crystal bowls will  serenade breathwork and a guided meditation easing us into deep relaxation. Then as  earthly form and thoughts begin to dissolve, the mighty gongs appear for a full immersion  into sound energy! No prior experience with yoga, breathwork, meditation, or sound  energy is needed, the movement and sound will simply meet you where you are and take  you wherever you need to go.

While everyone has their own unique experience with sound energy, many have found it  to open pathways to relax, quiet their mind, balance energy, meditate, release emotional  tension, retune internal systems, have a spiritual experience, heal themselves, inspire  creativity, or feel a deep sense of peace. Our innate intelligence appears to use this type  of sound energy to promote well-being within.

The sound immersion is usually experienced lying down on your back or a similar  comfortable position. Please bring whatever you need to be comfortable - yoga mat,  blankets, pillow, cushion for under the knees, water, eye covering, etc. Allow for time to  find parking and please arrive 10 -15 minutes early to settle in.

Covid Considerations: With the mask mandate being lifted, I want to say that masks are optional, however, the number of people at this event (possibly around 40) is a lot to be indoors at the same time and I want people to feel safe and comfortable, so please at least wear your mask until you're settled on your mat. We'll easily be able to spread out close to 6 feet apart.

There are also two air filters running and there will be some open windows for air flow. If you’re showing symptoms of illness, contact Ruby asap so she can refund your ticket and find someone else to take your spot. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can start on time and so there's not too much crowding as people set up.

About Your Hosts:

Roger Tjoelker, founder of Transformative Sound LLC, is a professional gong player based in Seattle, Washington. Formerly a corporate CFO and CIO, he first heard the gong played well at a Transformational Breath® Seminar and instantly knew that he had to learn to play and bring this amazing sound energy to others. He now offers Gong Sound Immersion group events and individual sessions in the Seattle area, and occasionally tours the west coast. Roger uses several gongs and a variety of mallets to provide a full spectrum of transformative sound energy. “Gongs have opened up new worlds for me to explore and have transformed my life  beyond imagination. They've become part of my spiritual journey. I find that creating  sound energy with Gongs is a wonderful way to promote and enhance the well-being of  all.”

Wayne Marto is a life-long musician who has studied the gong extensively under Kundalini Gong Master Mehtab Benton. His authentic style of playing, infused with passion and intention, promotes deep relaxation and transformation. Wayne is the Founder and Executive Director of Beneficial Sound, a 501(c)3 public charity committed to bringing wellness to the mind, body and soul through sound and vibration. He has a degree in Psychology, is a Certified Gong Practitioner and is a member of the American Sound Healers Association.

Ruby Koa, founder of Inspire Studio has been teaching yoga in Bellingham since 2009. She offers a variety of classes including various forms of Vinyasa Flow, Gentle Flow, Yin, Restorative, and Kundalini Yoga. Her intention is always to teach from her heart, with an emphasis on accommodating you wherever you're at. Ruby’s aim is to cultivate a sense of community and she loves working with the divine feminine as well as the medium of sound healing. She has crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, a Chau and a Moon Gong. In addition to her Kundalini Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga 200 hr. certifications, she has completed a level 1 gong training and is almost a 500 hour RYT.

Ashley Fullenwider (Tera Jot Kaur) learned the value of stillness and the regenerative power of sound from yoga, and she fell in love with Kundalini yoga because it offers a direct experience of sound through mantra, chanting, music and gong. As a life-long traveler and speaker of foreign languages, sound vibration is fundamental to Tera Jot’s experience of the world. Kundalini yoga offers an unparalleled experience and awareness of the power of sound vibration and her classes and workshops will highlight this magic. Ashley has completed her certification in Kundalini Yoga (220 hr.), Vinyasa (200 hr.), and Yin Yoga (50 hr.).

Kristine Allen, BS, LMP is a Transformational Breath® Senior Trainer, a KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher and a Licensed Massage Therapist. She has been studying breath for over 30 years and has been practicing yoga for 25 years. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona with an emphasis in Biomedical Engineering. This provided a beautiful foundation and comprehensive knowledge of the body for her studies of yoga, breath and massage. She brings this knowledge to class to compassionately support her students.

Jay Darling understands that music is food for the soul. Jay has been helping people of all ages move and cut loose in the spirit of play for decades. Jay plays instrumental and body percussion, handpan, and vocalizations.

Elizabeth: Ever since taking her first yoga class, Elizabeth has dipped and dabbled, trying out various yoga practices. The thoughtful and supportive style of Iyengar as well as the rich, deep, spacious experience of Yin and Restorative are personal favorites. First introduced to Sound and Kundalini by Ruby Koa, at Inspire Studio, the beautifully meditative and transformative energy immersion felt like meeting the embrace of a long lost friend, coming home, food for the soul. This began her sound journey, which she continues to explore, currently, by also learning and sharing the gift of sound and guided visualization with others. Elizabeth is so thankful for the incredibly gracious and welcoming community of mentors and fellow sound lovers. For her, the acceptance and accessibility of the practice is a space full of curiosity, healing and joyous energy!
