Kundalini Yoga + Mindfulness 
 
In this class Ruby will gracefully weave together Kundalini Yoga, Meditation, and Mindfulness to add to your daily experience. Mindfulness is basically the practice of being fully present with whatever arises in a non-judgmental, non-reactive way. We’ll build from the community and safe container of the Tuesday Women’s Kundalini class to explore these techniques in a deeper way and bring them more fully off our mats and into our lives.

The 75-minute practice will include:
 
  • To set the class intention, there will be a succinct reading from one of Thich Nat Hahn’s or Pema Chodron’s teachings or, another well-known Mindfulness teacher.
  • There will be movement so we can get into our bodies.
  • There will be time provided for participants to discuss the reading or share about their experience with the practice or focus from the previous class.
  • We’ll then move through a Kundalini Yoga sequence or Kriya.
  •  A meditation will follow. During this part, we’ll often start with a breathing exercise or specific Kundalini Yoga Meditation.
  •   A Guided Mindfulness Meditation in which space will be given to really notice one's experience.
  •  Before closing, there will be a chance to share your meditation experience with the group, and a practice to focus on during the week.
